If i want a DCPS teacher to teach my kid via Zoom, i'll just do it for free through school

Is there a list somewhere of public school teachers who will do private tutoring? Seems bizarre teachers are going to be profiting from school closures but our kids need an education.

You can also just be extremely demanding with your school about the quality of distance learning your child gets.

LOL the schools won’t give a fsck about that any more than they did about anything else you’ve wanted since March.

Schools ONLY care about what teachers want, not what parents and taxpayers want. Scum!

You can’t be serious. Teachers were not consulted about ANY of this. The Chancellor’s Office cares about what the Mayor wants and the Mayor wants to make sure the optics look good for re-election. The teachers have no say; the parents have a tiny bit of a say. BTW, the parents of the kids who everyone is all concerned about here all of a sudden, mostly want distance learning because their wards have been most ravaged by COVID-19 and they aren’t taking chances. I suppose they are scum too.

Our tutors are virtual only right now and $135/hour for experienced tutors for AP level high schoolers.

Teachers are going to be cashing in on school closures. Glad the coronavirus pandemic is working out for someone.
