The state has lifted quarantine rules for out-of-state travel, so I bet they’ll reset these rules, too. It makes sense to at least allow kids from adjacent jurisdictions in day camps. But someone may need to push them to state it explicitly. |
As of March 9, last year's restrictions have been rescinded: https://phpa.health.maryland.gov/OEHFP/CHS/Pages/Youth-Camp-Covid-19-Information.aspx Instead, "Youth camps are directed to follow applicable federal guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and, where applicable the Maryland School Reopening Guidance." |
I'm the PP--woohoo! I will call the MD camps I'm interested in just to doublecheck, but yes it looks like the previous language re: out of state campers has been removed. |
| Thank you! Anyone confirmed with Valley Mill or Calleva that camp will go on and accept DC kids? |
| Calleva camps are definitely happening this summer, but the last time I checked they were full. |
Yep, I checked today when I read this and they’re full. I added my kid’s name to their wait list but I doubt she’ll get in. |
I already signed up in January on a leap of faith (and many filled up right away) |

Has there been an update allowing kids outside MD to attend camps in MD?
Thank you |
Yes, my DC kids were accepted to Valley Mill for this summer. First session was full but we got 2 weeks in August. |
