Cool. The next time I hear that black people need white allies, I’ll say f<>k you and the horse you rode in on.

We don’t need you. We need actual white allies. Whites people who will listen to what we need. Not white people who assume what is best for them is best for everyone, as OP is doing.

I think it’s sexist and I won’t use it.
It has become derogatory & I don’t think any kind of name calling is helpful in getting people to your side.

I don’t think you’re doing yourself any favors using stereotypes to show that stereotypes are wrong.

*listen

I agree but have you noticed that now being silent is bad? "Silence is violence." It's ridiculous. Just be a good person and ignore all judgements.

But how can you tell which white women are allies if you condemn them all just for being white women?

Sounds familiar....

It’s unquestionably misogynist. We should find a better way to communicate about this particular brand of entitlement.

I ordered my smoothie online, however, When I drove to the shop to pick it up there are a line of people inside the store to order and a line waiting (Inside as well) at the counter to pick up their smoothies. A year ago if this happened, pre-Karen meme, I would have said something along the lines of aren’t we supposed to be doing curbside? Why is everybody in the store? This time I just walked away.

53 year old white woman here.
Why would you have needed to question anything in the first place? Just ask where your food is and be done. “I’m here to pick up my online order for Karen. I’ll be just outside here.”
Why is it important to call out others?

It is what she was taught to do her whole life. It is/was in the honor code of every school that has one. Follow the rules. Make sure your friends are following the rules. Report misbehavior to the teachers because it is part of the honor code, and if you don't report misbehavior your are complicit in the misbehavior and will be punished as if you engaged in it yourself. Every day of her life this is what she was taught.

That is a big part of the honor code debate that has been going on for years. It tattling a duty or a no-no?

Middle aged white women have been hated since forever.

The only social currency white women have is their sexual attraction to men. When that goes, society wants to push them off on an ice flow. Since we can't do that, we tell them to STFU and stand quietly in the corner where their aging body and appearance won't offend anyone's eyeballs.

Tell me I'm wrong.

Amy Cooper was called a Karen by the Sister of the bird watcher.

So African American is horrible But Karen is ok. Just how it is

Casual racism isn’t cool.

So not caring about people who call you racist names is racist? How DO some of you keep up with your own bullsh!t?

The Karen trope is some seriously misogynistic BS. Not to mention misplaced. How often are white female cops the perpetrators of police brutality? How many of our state and national leaders who perpetuate racist policies white women? How many leaders of companies that underpay low wage, black workers white women? Anyone who thinks attacking white women is going to make big strides for their cause is sadly mistaken. White women hold very little political power. White women are just easy targets because women have been so indoctrinated by society that they buy into the stereotypes and the men who hold power are delighted to see disenfranchised groups wasting their energy.

Don’t get me wrong, there are certainly a subset of entitled middle aged white women, however, there are other non entitled white women as well who now feel silenced after fighting to find our voice.

You’ll get over it. Now you have a better understanding of how oppressed groups feel. Your views aren’t actually valid.

Good. That means it is working. Because saying something would have been truly obnoxious as it wasn’t your place to do so. I am so glad you are coming to terms with this and getting a better understanding of your place. Know it.
