I can practically see the taped body outline.

Or the sons kill the parents.

Which son? The one that is part owner of the Capitals and ran for county exec? Or the other one?

I agree with every bit of this. Kids would have such a blast in the basement.

You folks have no eye. Just removing the window treatments and having the staid old furniture replaced would make this place look like a dream. I LOVE this house and I love Christmas like a crazy person. I hope they loved living there. It is gorgeous.

I love this house and yes, all the wallpaper upstairs and window treatments need to go but it has soul. Love it so much. I agree with a pp. The other house mentioned after is hideous in comparison. This is a dream house.

What are the two middle compartments in the laundry room? Anyone know?

Don't know, but I am loving the automatic rotary iron to iron and fold bedsheets.

I love that their guest cottage is essentially a Falls Church/Fairfax/Arlington shitshack that some would pay $600K for and not blink.

I love this house. If you have the money and you want to create a cosy and magnificent home - you build this house. I personally don't think that much has to be changed in this house. I love the basement.

I would love to live there with a staff of people to maintain it. Perfect home for a family and I love that this looks like a well loved home for a family.

I just knew I had been in this basement when I saw the title of this post. Imagine it is 1989 and you live in this house as a high schooler and throw a keg party in the basement of that house and 300+ kids show up. Yes, it was epic. It looksexactly how I remembered it.

I agree. The owner made the house their own. We worry too much about what others think. Love this gorgeous house.

So the photo in the bathroom lets us all know who owns this house. Shouldn’t the realtor have blurred or taken that down? I’ve seen a lot of kids’ and family photos blurred in listings, too.

I’m sure the maids love it, too! Ironing sheets is a b*tch!

I would LOVE to have that basement and yard right now. Quarantine would be a helluva lot nicer!

Tax and deed records are public record. It isn’t too hard to figure out who owns the house by the address anyway.
