Potomac, MD mansion for sale - comes with your own winter wonderland Mayberry

You just ruined my day. I forgot I want to be rich. The home is certainly beautiful from the outside. I would update the interior decor, which is not to my taste, but the basement is awesome of course.

I can move past the carpet and decor (although the furniture is very high quality) and I love the house. My kids would absolutely love that basement. I think the price is a bargain for what you are getting. The upkeep, maintenance, heating, cooling and taxes would require so much money that it hurts to even guess.

Honestly the price on this house seems low. Despite the fact that the interior needs updating, the house itself is really impressive.

That is exactly what I thought - reminds me of The Homestead, and even they had less wallpaper and flounces. The basement reminds me of the shops. They must have done this house in the late 80s and never looked back.

+1

THIS.

Hideous beyond belief and at that price point, the kitchen is unbelievable. More like a kitchen you'd find in a half million dollar house. I expect a couple of years on the market.

Yeah, that much land, that many beds and baths, pool, pool house, guest house, tennis court, and it’s in Potomac? The price does seem low.

I love the breezeway to the pool house. Thanks for posting, OP. That was different.

It reminds me of the Hershey Hotel/Auto museum.

Its been on the market for a year. So obviously the price point is fine if not too high.

There are five houses for sale in that tiny neighborhood, which is weird.

I'd imagine for houses in that price range average DOM must be one to two years. Maybe it's the Rockville address!

The address reads as Rockville although it’s listed ias Potomac. That home is from a grande time from the 90’s. The basement is their own cobble stone street in Disney. Love to see the portrait of the family and monograms of the owner. Where else could you find that kind of property for that price?

How I would love a pool, a tennis court and a pool table for this quarantine.

One thing I like about homes like this is they are enormous, but they don't look like monstrosities. It's a beautiful well-balanced home with proper massing.

Compare it to a hideous newer place like below...

If you hid the entrance of the basement, I would live down there like the housekeeper's husband in Parasite.
