I have a Temperature...what happens to the DCs if my test is positive

I would give your kid phone numbers of family members (assuming he has a phone or iPad). Not so that they can visit, just in case he needs to talk to them.

Thank you all for the support and advice.

The test case back negative and my temperature has gone away. The doc says to stay quarantined for 72 hours and as long as I don’t get the temp back, I am good to go. If I do, I get retested.

Thanks. Mine has grandparents numbers on their phone as well as some of my friends that they have known since birth that live in the area. They also have their old Nanny’s number who watched them for ten years and they are in touch all the time (exchange funny quotes, videos, watch her dog for her when she is gone, etc) . We talked about a plan in case they felt they needed help and they are most comfortable with the Nanny who is a rockstar and completely reliable. She is dropping off more masks (she made) and groceries as well as dinner this evening.

The other thing I was going to suggest is that you reach out to your kids' schools and make them aware so that your kids can hopefully get a pass for the rest of the school year if it hasn't ended yet.

I'm glad your test came back negative. And just because COVID-19 is what everyone is talking about and worried about, that doesn't mean that other stuff like the flu aren't going around. Get better.
