Yes. Kids will be 6th, 4th, and 1st. And I will send my 3 yo yo preschool when it reopens. |
Agreed |
If they reopened tomorrow, the answer would be no. We shall see what things look like in September. |
No. We homeschooled part time this past year even before COVID hit and will continue full time this coming year unless things drastically change. |
DD’s private school is taking the whole thing seriously and will only allow students back when they have a fairly conservative plan in place, so, sure.
DS isn’t going back to daycare any time soon. We already had an issue with too many viruses coming home with him. |
Yes for sure |
So true. I homeschool in Montgomery County, Md and go through their reviews. I believe reviewing through the county gives the highest level of "legitimacy" -for lack of a better word- to my homeschooling review. I know of 2 umbrellas which homeschoolers consider secular and unschool friendly, even though religious organizations are the only legal umbrellas in Maryland. I fear that, if Md ever took a closer look at these umbrellas, many homeschoolers would find themselves up Sh1t's Creek. |
3rd, 5th, Pre-k. Same. And not because I don't like being home with them. I think it is the best thing for them to return to school , sports, music, etc. as soon as possible. The curve has been flattened already, we are ready to get back to normal even if that means a risk of getting it. Supplies are in place and hospitals have space- but it is unlikely we would need that |
Yes, we would send them tomorrow. Grades 8, 8, 5.
-Doctor and nurse couple who have been working around Covid for months. |
1st and 3rd grade. I'm really not sure at this point. I hope we have a lot more information about covid and how it impacts people by the time we have to make that decision. |
yep - we just don't have enough info to answer the question |
Most likely. I’d like her to experience Kindergarten this fall, if that’s possible. We are on the fence about daycare over summer. I’m out of work for the time being so we’re managing ok. But as soon as my office opens we’ll have to make some hard decisions. |
No. |
Rising HS Senior - Of course! |
If cases are way down by then I would let him go as normal. But if local cases start to rise or there are outbreaks at nearby schools, I'd probably pull him until things died down. Though I'd guess the schools would close at that point anyway. If conditions are the same as they are right now, I probably would not send. There is still a lot of community transmission throughout this area and enclosed indoor spaces seem to be breeding grounds. |
