Probably a 20-something who just made $500k.

He mentioned that the surrogate has a family and several children and her husband was very supportive.

There was an egg donor. The surrogate carried the baby.

Definitely think he saw how happy Andy was with his son.

How could anyone doubt that Andy Cohen's happiness infected Anderson Cooper. Look at them:

Anderson definitely wanted in on that. And you can bet that they'll be extended family to each other and the boys will be growing up together.

I’m really happy for Anderson, and I absolutely LOVE that the baby in the picture is giving him the side eye! So funny! (In an adorable, kids are hilarious, way - I have no doubt that Anderson will be a wonderful dad!)

I just hate the name Wyatt. I don't care that it was his dad's name. My grandmother's name is Edna and I am SO appreciative to my parents that when they named me after her, they didn't name me EDNA. Some names should really die when the person does.

I wish Andy and Anderson would move in together and there could be a reality show about it.

Yes people name their babies names that some other people don't like sometimes. Thank you for the breaking news.

It really is. But happy for Anderson. And Wyatt is a lucky kid! What a great life he’ll have.

Some of the negativity in this thread makes me sad. My best friend and his husband are about to become parents via surrogate. They are amazing people and will be wonderful parents. I hate that this baby, who is deeply wanted and loved already, is going to face crappy people like some of you.

I read that AC and his younger BF broke up just about 9 months ago. Makes me wonder if they younger guy wasn't on board with this plan. Doesn't really matter, these days it works fine for singles to have a kid on their own if they want. Women do it all the time.

I've loved Anderson Cooper for a long time and am very happy for him. But... he mentioned that he was sad that his parents and brother were not there to meet his son. His mother was "older" when he was born, and he's 52--if his son ends up being an older father, Anderson won't get to meet his kids either. Just a random observation.

Completely different scenario...
And no one is attacking the baby

I agree. I think it is great he had a kid. I wish he had done it ten years ago. He will be 70 when the child finishes high school. I guess he has the money to hire people who can do all the things a younger parent would.

I'm sorry you feel that way. But doesnt it give you some pause? This is a happy version of handmaid tale where women are paid to be an egg and uterus. Babies need mothers and you are creating babies without their mothers!

Dont compare situations where mom has died or is a crappy mother.

Isn’t he a bit old to become a father? Why is it creepy and gross for every other man his age to become a father but sooo beautiful and gorgeous for a rich celeb like him?

More like you can only use one male donor... Anderson said it was going to be his stern, period.

"Daddy, um daddy- I think your friend is going to try to steal me. Just saying, check his bag before he leaves "

Baby fever is real, man.

Babies need parents. Mazel to PPs friends for becoming fathers. Is it suddenly not handmaid tale-esque when its a hetero couple using a surrogate? Is that all well and good?

Why am I feeding this anyway?!
