Oh get over yourself. I worked in intelligence and yes, your agency will verify your employment generally. They don’t have to give the details.

My agency would DESPISE it. They already hate the fact that we have to tell doctors where we work if we test positive for this, for tracking purposes.

If you were that important, they’d have a cover agency you would use.

You’re a moron. There are CIA Chiefs of Station who are declared and overt. Stop BSing.

Right, because they’re very senior officials. This has nothing to do with anything. Try to keep up.

No. The point is PP has no clue what the fk he/she is talking about and should stop talking out of his/her ass.

You don't know what you're talking about. You have no clue about the protocol for when to use cover, so please stop talking as though you do.

Ok, how about you enlighten us as to how and when cover is used. Go ahead.

Frankly, lady, you’ve already undercut your own supposed point that you CAN’T provide verification. You can but your agency would “hate/despise” it, but they already allow reporting to your doctor. Basically it’s fine, but you are basking in a culture of oh-my-god-we’re-so-important. As you said, tons of people in this area work in national security. I’d be more impressed by you if you were a nurse or an Amazon delivery person in the present circumstances.

DP.

It’s not fine. It’s a necessity to report to doctors, but that doesn’t mean it’s fine.

Also, you should be ashamed at yourself for being so dismissive of these public servants and their need to protect their identities.

You should be ashamed of yourself by acting as if there is no way that rules to allow essential workers ONLY to use daycares could be implemented. Stop being so dismissive of rules meant to protect society from a deadly pandemic.

I’m simply responding to you acting as though you have some understanding of how national security protocol works and the risks of being flippant about diverging from it.

There’s a difference between CAN and SHOULD. And the SHOULD in this case has to do with potentially blowing the identities of intelligence officers.

I’ve worked in the IC for quite a while, so I do have an understanding of it.

Great, well there’s a deadly pandemic. So I’m sure your agency can work it out, like so many other agencies do with issues of employment verification all the damn time.

Ms. National security needs to get off this board and hire a nanny. The entire world can’t be at risk because you deemed yourself essential.

NP

FFS.

If someone is in national security, they’re working because they have to.

Get over yourself and be grateful.

Yes, but he/she is not what the governor means when they say healthcare workers and first responders. There is also a 75% chance that this person has a spouse or co-parent with a job that is not an essential national security function who could care for the children at this time.

Cause what we really need right now is a terrorist attacking on top of everything else. FFS why don’t you want people protecting this country to do their jobs?
