Where did you hear the exact MoCo location? He just said it's a married couple in their 70s and one person in their 50s. All three contracted it during overseas travel.

DP. Bethesda, Rockville, or Chevy Chase seem like reasonable guesses.

Can we not guess during a situation like this?

For most people it’s a cold. Calm down.

Likely.

DH and I both teach. He’s betting there will be high absenteeism tomorrow and next week. By then a few more cases might be announced and we’ll close. I’m going to invest 5 or 6 hours Saturday on those packets Smith promised without consulting us.

Are they saying where they traveled, out of curiosity?

I hope the DCUM hive can identify where they live, approximately.

Relax people! stop feeding the hysteria!

Well, I have a 92 year old grandma with lung disease and parents in their 60s, one of whom has underlying health problems, so yeah — I’m somewhat concerned.

There are estimates that 40% of the population could get it. With a 3 percent fatality rate, that’s roughly 4 million deaths in the USA.

The 3 percent fatality rate is a gross overestimate. They are so many mild cases of the virus that are not diagnosed.

The fatality rate for elderly people is likely way above 3 percent.

For 20% of people it's not. That's a lot of people.
