Exactly. The funny thing is that once all the minority decide to yes, exercise their rights to legally own and have access to guns, semiautomatics, rifles, silencers, etc, then Trumpsters will want to follow a blue initiative to have better gun control. Scratch that. They’ll simply want to find a way to confiscate them all. It will be unconstitutional, but that is par for the course in their party.

Because Democrats alone can't pull people out of poverty. Neither can Republicans do it alone. That's the fallacy of your belief when you say "Why do they keep electing Democrats?" You really think inner city poverty in Baltimore would get better with a bunch of Republicans at the helm, slashing education and services budgets?

It requires all of us working together and sacrificing equally to pull up our fellow Americans.

But corporate America owns both sides and every single politician, and none of them care for the poor. So it isn't going to happen. Not unless we completely reconstruct our government and that is never going to happen either. The top percentages will get richer, the middle class continues to shrink, and poverty continues to increase.

Allowing all the poor immigrants to keep coming? That only makes it worse. There sure aren't any rich immigrants coming here. And Canada is getting all the international student's going to college now. Not America anymore.

What makes me most nervous about Trump winning is that he will very firmly entrench Ds in Congress and most likely lead to Dem pres in 2024. Full democratic control makes me nervous, as does full republican.

I hope that a Dem wins now (at least if it isn’t Sanders) and the Republicans keep one chamber, presumably the Senate. That will make it much less likely either party has complete control any time soon.
