Private schools should have boundaries just as public.

Does that mean child-less couples or empty nesters should re-locate as well?

Only if they plan to go to private school.

I can see it now. My daughter goes to a Catholic school 5 minutes down the road from us in our W cluster. When the boundary s#!t hits the fan, applications will skyrocket and they will have to turn away scores of students. They will start to enforce the rule that you must be either/or a parish member or Catholic. I love this...can't wait to watch.

Start by reading "Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alinsky then move on to the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Those should lay the framework for you to set your plan in action.

The entire premise of this topic is chilling and the original poster is a complete loon. The fact that there are people out there who want to eliminate choice for how other parents educate their own children is chilling and smacks of straight up communism. You need everyone indoctrinated in the public schools, right? Otherwise, communism doesn't stand a chance without the proper indoctrination of ALL the children. Meanwhile, this country was built on freedom of choice. OP wants to dismantle individual rights for the sake of mindless group think. Sick. Sick. Sick!!!!

No way am I voting Dem in the foreseeable future. No way.[i][u] This thread is more evidence that they are straight up communists and not even trying to hide it anymore. Keep up this insanity and I see a Trump landslide.

What in the universe does the OPs (crazy) idea have to do with voting Dem? No serious political candidate has ever suggested anything like what the OP said. Just chill a little.

Not PP but I'll explain why I am done voting Dem. Democrats are against school choice, Republicans are for school choice. Democrats are becoming more and more radical. That's not me at all. I was a Democrat for the last 30 years and am done. The party is way different today.

Democrats aren’t against school choice; they’re against vouchers that segregate schools and unfairly benefit wealthy people.

Please square this with the fact that Washington DC, one of the most democratic cities in the country, has a robust school choice program in the form of DCPCS and OOB selection in DCPS.

Congress forced it on DC.

But lets not get sucked into the "choice" lingo. The problem Democrats have with this dual system is that it takes money away from public schools and increases segregation in the public school system. A segregated school is generally defined as a school with >80% minority population. Defenders of taking money out of public schools will point to the charter school and say -- look how diverse that school is - but the happy landing for the ones who take the money out of the system is not the problem, the problem is that leaves behind mostly minority students in a now-impoverished system and so the school sleft behind are mostly segregated schools. In addition, those segregated schools end up with an over-proportion of the most difficult students (because those students don't have this mythical "choice" -- they get kicked out after the charter takes the public money).

Like anything, the people who benefit from a policy love it; but they turn a blind eye to the people it hurts. And it always hurts most those least able to help themselves.

You are obviously not in DC, because you have absolutely no understanding of the charter school system here. For starters, DCPCS *are* public schools.

But go on, keep spouting generic taking points.
