I bet you also claim to be a good person, a Christian even. What a disgusting attitude. |
What is disgusting? Take a breath. We have a homeless epidemic across this country, are we to allow our libraries (and parks!) to be shelters? It’s a valid question. Don’t act so appalled. I’m of the belief that they should remain for the community to enjoy. They don’t have to be “tax payers” but they ought to be clean, rule abiding and not take advantage. |
Homeless people are part of the community, no? |
Some homeless people actually are women and children. |
| It's so sad, mental health care and addiction care in the US is so bad, which is partially why there are so many homeless around everywhere. |
|
" So many homeless around everywhere. "
Not everywhere. There is a perverse streak of exhibitionism much like flashers. Homeless still prefer "location, location, location." |
People prefer "location, location, location." That doesn't make homeless people exhibitionists, it makes homeless people people. |
WTF does this even mean? Honestly, you seem like a terrible person. |
Well said. |
Then why have I seen them in Walmart parking lots in Kansas? In front of a chick fil a in small town in Virginia? In the road medians begging in suburban Maryland? But mostly I see them in urban areas and bear homeless shelters. So yes, I do see them "around everywhere." |
| What the public libraries need to do is to install those baskets that some airlines have in airport boarding areas, to make clear that bags brought in cannot exceed the basket size. That would discourage people from bringing carts and lots of things into the libraries. |
Thanks to Bowser's shelter plan, more neighborhoods will have more homeless population living there, including on the streets. |
Don't the library computers have filters to block porn and other objectionable material? |
| Why have professional librarians rolled over and acquiesced to the humiliation of being assigned social work? |
Why don't you go in and ask a librarian this great question in person? I dare you. |
