Nancy Pelosi is the best dressed politician ever

That’s what I’m saying. Go ahead Nancy.

She says her husband picks out all of her clothes.

I always heard that, too. But, there was an article in Style section of WAPO recently that said that is a myth. That she does her own shopping. I think it said in Old Town Alexandria somewhere.

I'll try to find a link.

I agree that she wears absolutely gorgeous clothes. I'm sure they are extremely $$$$$$$$$.

I also think she had work done over recess. Her eyebrows are about a half inch higher than earlier this year. Not a good look.

MaxMara, wasn’t it? I loved that thing.

Yes. Gorgeous. Supposedly they were going to bring it back...

Also it looks really red in this photo but is described as being "burnt orange" and I think the Max Mara name for it is Fire.

Notice that her hair is dyed and she is in heels, and -- look -- she has on makeup and somehow none of that makes people think she is stupid or vapid or unable to lead. Imagine that!

Please go back to defending Ivanka and Melania on the other thread. Dyed hair, heels, and makeup have nothing to do with it. But in the case of the Trump ladies, it sure doesn't help. Kthxbye.

i don’t GAF about those Trump chicks this a big middle finger to the many many many threads here from women who won’t/don’t dye or use makeup and insist that those women who do groom and are fashionably dresses cannot possibly be taken seriously in the workplace.

"The person I spoke to who is familiar with Pelosi’s habits was eager to debunk an oft-repeated myth that her husband, Paul, acts as her stylist. He doesn’t. The speaker doesn’t employ one and shops for herself at places such as Bergdorf and Donna Lewis, an independent boutique in Alexandria, Va. According to the source, Donna Lewis is where she buys a number of her workhorse tailored skirt- and pant-suits."

Yes, because when you look past that at her actual track record of words and deeds, there is substance there (whether you like her politics or not). Compare that to, for example, the ungrammatical “Be best” or being an underwear-clad model in a photo shoot.

I can’t stand the b*tch but she does dress well.

She dresses well and her clothes are not distracting. There's no cleavage, no nipples, no appliques on her breasts, no boob pockets, no vines dangling from her skirt, no sleeves that flop over and swallow her head, her hair isn't burnt to a crisp, etc.

UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE.

They had 5 children together within the span of 6 years.

I can't imagine wearing those heels at her age nearly every day. But she does it. I'm nearly 30 years younger than her and I couldn't do it.

She has great hair for her age. Every woman in my family who lived that long had lost most of their formerly lush hair by then.

I'm guessing that she has it done professionally almost every day. It does look good. So many women dye it too dark or go too blonde. Hers is just right.

I've always thought she was the best dressed woman in DC.

I'd also like to note, that she is top heavy and yet manages to convey class and find clothes that fit.

Oh I wish I had money for clothes. Yes people can look well dressed on a shoestring, but there’s just an air that expensive clothes grant a person.
