Baby got bit at day care

Perhaps OP should ask if it was an infant or toddler who bit her child - no names. Just tell the director she wants to be sure that the older kids are being kept separate from the very small infants when appropriate/possible. Can't hurt just to ask.

My daughter got bitten at daycare a few months ago by a slightly older child. These things happen when kids are young. And I know from experience that kids can do things so fast that it's not always possible to catch them in the act. I don't think the caregivers were negligent. I'll feel bad if my child becomes a biter (she's been slow to teethe), and will do whatever I can to nip it in the bud (pun?) but I didn't hold it against the kid who bit her. They were just playing. It didn't scar or bother her afterward.

Try not to worry about it unless it happens again while your child is still really young; then, i think it would be natural to wonder if the older kids were being adequately supervised around the younger ones.
