FBDO? It's good - just not AS good.

Disagree. So to each their own.

Recently watched both with my 15 yr. old daughter and she loved each one.

Yes! I always felt so sad for Cameron. He was so depressed. But I loved everything else!

Loved the scene when the parking garage attendants take the Ferrari out on a joy ride.

You have got to be kidding.

no - BC was brilliant.

And this is all you have for me?

NP - watched both recently with my tween.

Ferris Bueller was even better than I remembered and seemed like a great capture of that time which is also when I was in High School.

Breakfast Club was much worse than I remembered (and I didn't think it was that good when it came out) - really contrived and over wrought and no more realistic than Ferris Bueller which was at least fun.

Ferris bueller is so much fun—the send up of the boring teacher and the power-tripping principal is so real for anyone that went to a middling public school in the suburbs. I still laugh at the principal on the bus with the kid who smells bad. And the genius contraption to fool his mom into his being sick is hilarious. As is the sister’s frustration at why her brother gets away with everything.
I imagine it’s a lot less funny if you went to private school.

Omg. 16 candles was my absolute favorite. Watched it again recently, and still thought it was hilarious.

Worst move ever and could not be made today. Jake Ryan interest in Samantha was just creepy. He would be arrested today.

No also a great movie. The drunken rape/sex scene needs to be excised and I think you could tweak some of the exchange student stuff and still show it but not sure what was creepy about a character who was a senior (I think) being interested in a sophomore.
