Hate DC speed humps

And I hate the people who called the Uber/Lyft. Tell your freaking driver to pull over, there is plenty of street parking. You can walk 10 steps to your door.

The city only puts them in by request, so wherever you see one, it's because someone on that street asked for it. So now they get to hear my horn at all hours of the day or night. I hope it annoys them as much as their bumps annoy me.

My DH does this too.

So he thinks it’s ok to wake up people - and their sleeping kids - because the neighborhood wanted to keep their children safe by having DC install traffic calming?

Here's a thought. If you were any kind of parent your kids would be safe without speed humps. That's because you would actually, uh, parent and keep your brats out of the street.[/quote

On my residential street, which has become a cut through in recent years, two speeding cars have ended up in yards in the last 12 months. Explain to me how any parent can protect their child from that other than keeping them out of their own front yard. Also, you are an asshole.

I hate Uber/Lyft drivers. Stop and block traffic at every freaking street.

Seriously. They should be regulated like taxis.
