Angel connects with people in a way that can only be described as a rare gift. People love him and trust him immediately. If you have a union organizing campaign among Spanish speaking workers with low levels of education and literacy, then you need to hire Angel. He helped us defeat a union organizing campaign with a vote of 189 to 57 with 95% voter turnout. Our workers had no idea what they were getting themselves into until Angel came along, and if it wasn't for him, there would have been a lot of very surprised people the day after the election.

Interesting that the anonymous email does not compare the MV turnover and salary to DCPS turnover and salary. From everything I understand, charter turnover is high, and charter salary is low.

The turnover rate is over 25%, not higher than other charters. What is hard to tell is who is leaving? Spanish teachers? English teachers? Learning specialists and special ed teachers?

Just knowing the rate isn’t that helpful.

The average and highest teacher salaries are on the low side.
