| Because they hired this guy for “labor relations” https://teamster.org/sites/default/files/wanted_poster_2_angel_cornejo.jpg |

From his LinkedIn “endorsements”
Angel connects with people in a way that can only be described as a rare gift. People love him and trust him immediately. If you have a union organizing campaign among Spanish speaking workers with low levels of education and literacy, then you need to hire Angel. He helped us defeat a union organizing campaign with a vote of 189 to 57 with 95% voter turnout. Our workers had no idea what they were getting themselves into until Angel came along, and if it wasn't for him, there would have been a lot of very surprised people the day after the election. |
OMG that did not even register me. That kind of encapsulates the tragic era in which we all live. |
| Interesting that the anonymous email does not compare the MV turnover and salary to DCPS turnover and salary. From everything I understand, charter turnover is high, and charter salary is low. |
It is hypocrisy but also just makes them look dumb. Come on people. |
LOL. |
MV turnover isn't especially high. I was kind of amazed at how many of their teachers have only a BA and not in education, but whatever. |
The turnover rate is over 25%, not higher than other charters. What is hard to tell is who is leaving? Spanish teachers? English teachers? Learning specialists and special ed teachers? Just knowing the rate isn’t that helpful. The average and highest teacher salaries are on the low side. |
| This letter has union busting consultant written all over it! Shame on Mundo management. |
| 25% turnover is huge. Bruce Monroe bilingual DCPS turnover is around 3%. |
DC parent: DC has amazing teachers with a really hard job. This whole statement is full of stock buzz words with no substance: worst in the country, accountability, leverage, failed the country. Ridiculous. This is DC. We invented this lingo. |
Yeah this person is some outside troll for sure. Nice try. |
3%?!?! That seems almost impossibly low. That is like one person per year, at most. |
Believe it. Bancroft bilingual DCPS is 5 percent. |
| Where does the 25% stat come from? |
