Yes, what you describe is the NORMAL way this should happen, what SS described is NOT NORMAL and SHOULDN'T HAPPEN. What don't you get? |

Do we still feel sympathy for Silverman after the pictures of her in black face resurfaced today?
I think she's a jerk. And since she's no shrinking violet, I seriously doubt she felt too shy to stop a dr doing something inappropriate. |
THIS. I've only had female technicians do my mammograms and ultrasounds, but they have to touch you and manipulate your breasts. There's really no getting around it. |
Yep. Along with not taking pain seriously because, "I've had 5 kids, I know pain!" instead of investigating what turned out to be legitimate concerns. Also that I would be infertile if I didn't have a kid by 30. I had a strong of them and now only go to male gynos. |
| One step closer to male doctors refusing to see women |
Yes, with the current technology there is no other choice. That is why it would be nice to have better diagnostic screening tools that don't involve all the handling and smooshing. |
Also, this is the only part of our bodies that I can think of that we treat quite this way. At least with a colonoscopy you go in, you get sedated, you have the procedure, the doctor takes any polyps for biopsies and afterwards you talk to the doctor directly about what, if anything was found. |
If the doctor actually examined her as she is describing then that was pretty atypical. Thank God. I can't imagine a health care professional actually defending the way that was done. |
Wow, that's awful. Both the female and male obgyns that I've had have been really great. |
I agree. |
+1 I think it's hilarious when the loudest SJWs are found to be seriously lacking in SJ etiquette. |
She says that he opened her robe, spread gel on her breasts with his bare hand and then proceeded to discuss her chest X-ray results with the robe still wide open (he was not performing the sonogram). The way she described it sounded clueless at best on his part. |
Omg seriously. Get help. |
She's a jerk but that doesn't mean that medical professionals should treat her with any less respect than the rest of us. On a side note, I am freakin' shocked by how many people seem to have old pics of them in blackface. In my entire life I have never known a person to wear blackface. WTH? |
