How do I become Daniel Tiger’s mom?

Actually, I heard some of the producers from PBS on NPR, and they said they definitely try to model Mom and Dad Tiger’s “good” parenting behavior for parents who may be watching the show with their kids.

So they are doing a cartoon (because nobody could take the place of Mr. Rogers, who has passed away) but still, they are intending to pass positive messages to the children (and, evidently, it works for the parents too!) They are doing it right if so many people want to emulate the parents....

So maybe Daniel is the same way. It’s like walking on eggshells.

This sounds unhealthy, it’s normal and appropriate to model emotions and reactions. It sounds like your child has major anxiety and attachment issues. So, this isn’t exactly a good example.

I love this thread! I wish Daniel Tiger had been around when my kids were little. Ahhh, what the heck, maybe I'll start watching it now, all by myself.
