Start language in 6th grade or 7th?

In every single school? I find it hard to believe that every middle school world language teachers are horrible and in high school they're all wonderful.

As later as possible - if you want to make sure s/he will have a very basic vocabulary and strong accent.

This has not been our experience. SD has had great French teachers in level 1- 3 honors in middle school. I studied French through high school and college, so I’m not clueless about what she is learning.

Do you mean as *early* as possible
