Interesting you would mention that. First of all, DS is a senior entering college. Yes, he did get an offer for merit aid to one of his schools, but he declined that school.

Also as a rising 9th grader, he got merit aid at a Catholic high school here in DC and he turned that down as well.

Just because he wanted you to do it doesn’t mean you do it. He can be proud of it without you splashing it all over FB. Just because lots of people do it doesn’t mean you do it.

He was on the young side--my friend is pretty impulsive and was over the top proud, so I didn't hold it against her- but it was definitely weird.

Why post the acceptance letter? Why not just post “Larlo is excited to attend XYZ university this fall!”. The letter is what makes it obnoxious imo.
