Cats vs Dogs

Always think it's funny when cat people call dogs dirty - you have a box of sh*t INSIDE your house, and then those paws that touch the poop are on your kitchen counter/everywhere.
I grew up with and like cats too, but dogs win every time for cuteness, personality, loyalty, and bringing joy. When I moved out of my parents house I missed having a dog, but not a cat. Yes, I wipe my dogs paws before he comes in from outside every time, so I have no problem with dirt. Only fur!

Pretty much my take, except I didn't grow up with cats -- I'm allergic and so are other members of my family. I've lived with cats occasionally, and they were nice enough, but the smell and the relative ingratitude. My dogs have always adored me. The cats in my life have thought I'm perfectly fine.

I also have an acute sense of smell, and no level of litterbox vigilance keeps it from stinking up the house.
