How many hoodies does your teenage son own?

Zero. Pitched them and only let him wear crew necks. Also school’s Friday casual dress policy is no hoodies, only crew neck sweatshirts + collar shirt underneath.

Hoodies are immature and sloppy. Sorry not sorry.

He has at least five, but has sort of moved on to wearing other stuff (sweaters, henleys and flannels mostly). He wore them constantly between 6th and 10th grade.

I have to say, though, that he is still not looking particularly elegant. I wouldn't care if he still wanted to wear a hoodie all the time and I don't have any influence over what he wears.

Hoodies, pants, long sleeved tees - that's his everyday uniform. Completely turned off from jeans, sweaters, pullover fleece and flannel shirts. I am ok with it. convenience and well put together look. Around 6 hoodies, 8 pants and 12 - 15 tees. Hoodies gets washed after every few wears. Only two pants and shirts for non-school dress up occasions.

Mine doesn't want to wear a winter jacket ever. He has four sport hoodies ones (nike, UA, Adidas) which are mid weight. But I also bought him 2 oversized sherpa lined zip hoodies that he uses as a jacket. They are much warmer than the other ones.

I think my kids looks fine with skinny sweat pants, classic adidas and a nice hoodie. Plus they are very comfortable. Might as well be comfortable for as long as they can, they'll soon enough have to wear work clothes.

Fortunately, we bought two of that one, so he's usually clean, but I'm sure his teachers wonder what's up with us as a family that he always wears the same shirt (he wears it to school every day - it's possible that he takes it off, in which case he's wearing one of the two t-shirts he finds acceptable).

This was my son. Always wearing the same hoodie at school. The shirt underneath changed but he kept the hoodie on all day so I worried others would think he had poor hygiene. I dragged him shopping and made him pick out several hoodies he would wear and now he rotates them. He now has 4.

My 13 year old has 6. He used to wear them all the time the past few years during cold weather, but he has barely worn them this year, so he won’t be getting a new one for Christmas like he has the past few years.

My 16 year old has about 8. Some of them are pretty nice, thinner material, others are thicker and have unique neck features we just bought him one a rain coat hoodie style from Super Dry, its fierce. He looks pretty put together with his hoodies on, he always matches them to his shoes. Not all hoodies are large, poorly shaped and cotton.

like way too many. He has gotten 5 in the last two months because of all Bar and Bat mitzvahs he has been to- they all give them out as favors.

My 14-year-old DS has one. He wears and on the weekends as he wears a uniform to school. School does not allow hoodies unless it’s a school hoodie.

My 11 yr old DD has 8 hoodies.

What? Do they say I play the number one spot?

My son plays two varsity sports, and both teams wear the team hoodie. Sure there is school/team pride, but nothing about bragging for having the number one spot. I think you are reading into things. It's not a letter jacket, and even if it were lots of team members letter in their sport.

He plays #1 spot in both sports but no the hoodies just has "xxx high school varsity tennis/golf 2018". You can purchase them online like spritshop, very simple.

So there isn't really any bragging involved. He wears the team hoodie the same as the 20+ other team members.

Other than from mom in this thread?lol

He has five that he rotates on non-school days. On school days he had a “Class of 2021” hoodie from the private school that he attends which he wears every day with his uniform.
