You're a menace. You might think you're cool, but you are causing more problems than you are solving. This is really dangerous behavior. |
GFY I'm doing the speed LIMIT, according to the law. There is absolutely ZERO you can do about it. And you are exactly who I like pissing off. So just do yourself and everyone else around you a solid, and slow down. Because if you're behind me, that's the only option you have. |
Nope I’ll get on the shoulder and pass you if you want to be an ass. 35mph is ridiculously low for that road. Let them place a speed camera. That doesn’t change anything bc once you pass the camera ppl speed up again. |
Go ahead - tell your little story to any safety expert, transportation specialist, or law enforcement officer, and see what kind of answer you get. |
They’ll tell me I’m obeying the speed limit and driving safely. That’s what they’ll tell me. |
So you’ll pass me on the shoulder (where pedestrians sometimes walk to the bus stops on River Rd) and then boast about speeding again when you get around me or away from the camera, but *I’m* the problem. Right. Anything you say, dick. You shouldn’t even have a license. I may start doing completely uneccessary trips just to up the odds that I’ll get you behind me at 35. Because it’ll drive you completely mental. Maybe you’ll even be so mad you’ll do something really stupid and find yourself in real trouble instead of just being angry. Or maybe you’ll stroke out. Either way, a win is a win. People like you are the exact reason I get such joy out this. GFY, again. |
Thank you. I’ve just had enough of sharing the road with people who think 20 mph over a 45 mph speed limit is acceptable. And I’m going to do my part to slow them down. |
You are obnoxious, PP |
|
Omg, all you rich people whining about your precious speed limit being reduced is pathetic.
The vast majority of you aren’t even paying attention to the road and instead are ‘checking’ your phone. You’re not obeying the speed limit and instead you’re going 10+ mph over it already. How many people do you want to run over? A kid is almost hit in the crosswalk every week. There’s video of a teen being hit in the crosswalk on River and do we not remember running over the 90 year old lady walking home from bowling league one night? STFU , slow down and pay attention!! Please for the love of god stop whining on 20817 too. |
You’re the problem bc you think you are some kind of martyr. You’re the person who would be confused when you mess with the wrong person and end up getting followed home or someone blowing their horn at you and tailgating you hard. I would just go around you. And no it doesn’t upset me or cause me to “stoke” out. Your fight is stupid and only shows you as an idiot. It’s worth upsetting someone else to prove what...That you follow the speed limit?! No one cares about you following the speed limit but when you sit here and act like a jackass about it you deserve anything that might happen to you. You call it joy but you sound bitter and angry. |
If that's what you want, it's fine with me, I guess. Traffic signals at every intersection, marked crosswalk, and bus stop. But seriously - it's 3.2 miles from American Plant to Whole Foods. 3.2 miles at 45 mph is 4.3 minutes. 3.2 miles at 35 mph is 5.5 minutes. How much are those 1.2 minutes worth to you? |
Well, clearly to several posters on this thread 1.2 minutes is worth passing someone on the shoulder. In Maryland, that’s considered reckless driving, and IIRC carries a minimum fine of $250. So saving 1.2 minutes is worth at least $250 to them, since that’s what 1.2 minutes of time would cost if they were caught doing it. I guess that means they must earn in excess of $12,500/hr. And if that was indeed the case, WTF are they doing driving themselves to work and back?!?!?!? Whatever the case, I hope Montgomery county plants a speed camera every 500 yards on both sides of the road. And I hope these people have to cancel vacations because of all the tickets they get. They deserve every single one of them. |
You Are My HERO!!!!
|
LEO here. Obeying the speed limit and driving safely are two different things. You might be doing one, but you are certainly not doing the other. If I came up on you running your little blockade, I'd flash the blue lights and get you to move over. You could be cited for this kind of behavior, not to mention that your intentionally impeding traffic flow could limit emergency vehicle response or be a contributing factor to a road rage incident. Leave the policing to the police. |
It would be great if the police set a good example by obeying the speed limit and staying off electronic devices while driving. |
