Burial at Arlington National Cemetery - how long is the current wait?

I know in 2016 in was running about 7 months to schedule. My dad’s cousin was even the captain of the guard at the tomb of the unknowns and it was still that long.

My father was a retired Air Force colonel. He died in June 2017 and his burial was May 2018, so 11 months. He had been cremated.

It took my friend 5 -6 months recently. Sorry for your loss OP.

Can someone recommend a storage/facility that can shelter the body. My father's service is this Friday 8/23/19. My sisters and I are worried about costs to store.

My Mom, a WWII Navy vet, died in June 2019. My Dad, a WWII Air Force vet, is already in the Arlington columbarium. Mom's documentation was approved back in June. We are still waiting for a date. Does anyone know why it takes so long? I would be more understanding if I knew a reason. Has their budget been cut? Mom's friend, also a WWII Navy vet, died in April 2017 and was inurred two months later!
