Aren't they too old for PJ day at school??

Why do you hate fun, OP?

They can wear the pilled, too-tight, too-short, belly-revealing PJs a bit longer while I focus on making sure their school clothes are clean, in good repair, and properly sized. If they don't complain, I don't fuss too much until it gets really bad.

So the night before pajama day is inevitably when I realize they don't have a single pair of PJs that could decently be worn out of the house without someone contacting CPS.

So basically you are worried what others think of you? Your child doesn't care, nor does anyone else.

Get over it PP

I teach at a private high school, and we had a pajama day last month...

No OP pajama day is NOT inappropriate. Also no they are not too old. My kids love PJ day. Even my 8 year old who only sleeps in undies, never pajamas, still loves putting PJs on for it when the day arises. It’s not mandatory. Kids are free to wear regular clothes. As a parent, I’m so much happier with pajama day than some of the other “days” I have seen over the years - hat day, wear things with bows, stand up to bullying by wearing pink - at least most people could be expected to have pajamas to wear!

OP - what a drip you are

We had pajama day in high school and it was the highlight of the week lol. A break from having to be “on” and just silly with friends.

I work in a high school and we have pj day for a spirit day. They love pj pants. It's fun and not disruptive or distracting. I'd rather a 6th grade class won a pj or dress up day than a food based party, with all the weight and allergy issues out there.
