What did you do for your 10 year anniversary?

Nothing. We did absolutely nothing. Years ago I thought it would be an amazing celebration but clearly we are not in a good place.

We had just bought a new house and we're hemorrhaging money on new furniture/home projects. So we felt too guilty to do much. We stayed at a really nice hotel one night without our kids. That's all. I preferred that he saved the money for our master bathroom remodel than buy me more jewelry.

10 was a weekend in New Orleans, 20 was a weekend in Chicago, and 25 was Macinack Island in Michigan.

In between we dud anniversary trips ti NYC, Orlando, Key West and Miami Beach.

We only recently switched to a decadent movie day. We spend all day together, seeing films that are Oscar nominees. Kids ship off to friends and grandparents
