Democratic candidates for governor have been running on this for years. Heather Mizeur is a good example.
It hasn’t helped them win. |

Pot will be legal in Canada next week.
18+. Zero tolerance for driving high. (We'll see how that goes) I believe smoking bans in public places will also apply to pot. Employers are developing their own policies regarding use before work. Pot won't be any more or less available to kids. If they buy it now they will buy it next week. Taking their chances that it will be laced with fentanyl, same as today. |
Which legal, regulated marijuana store is going to sell it laced with fentanyl? |
Kids under 18 won't be able to buy it legally. Legalization won't stop them from buying on the streets. Which is where they take the chance it will be laced with fentanyl. Point being that legal or not, if kids want pot they will buy pot. |
People aren’t often put in prison in Maryland for possessing small amounts of pot. Dealing it yes. Possession no. So - we’re talking about freeing up about 10 prison beds here. |
If you prefer a skunky smell go live in the woods. |
I’m a Democrat and I just feel more comfortable with Larry Hogan. |
That's a bit of a leap, there. Doncha think? |
Just fyi there with the fentanyl fake news... I think you are confusing fentanyl laces PAIN PILLS with pot. Pot is not a contender in the fenanyl laced products, bro. If it happens AT ALL it is extremely rare. |
FAKE NEWS. Yawn. I am pretty sure kids get their paws on beer, cigarettes, and other items that are totally legal for adults DESPITE the facet they are against the law so just stop. |
Beer smells like skunk, not pot. |
Either you have never smelled a skunk or never smoked or been around weed to say it doesn't smell like skunk. Skunk is another name for marijuana for a reason. That being said, legalizing marijuana is not much of a vote getter. |
| I just spent a week in a college town in Colorado where weed is legal and available everywhere. I never one time smelled it. |
Very few issues poll at 60% in favor. |
| Pot is already legal in MD. Just get a medical card and go to a dispensery. |
