I'm surprised to see so many Clinique Black Honey reviews. I'm a makeup snob and buy too much of it and have never even seen this color

Anastasia (the eyebrow guru) has amazing matte lipsticks. I am wearing Hollywood right now and its great

Urban Decay- they are cheap-ish and the formula is nice and smooth. Naked is probably the most popular color

Tarte - any of the Peach color line lipglosses

I’m Smoky Rose. I love that stuff so much (I forgot to mention that Revlon took out the fragrance about eight years ago except for the “Love Is On” color).

Black Honey can turn some people’s teeth yellow.

Also a million years ago (or four) Estée Lauder had a color called “Plum Fizz.” It was the most perfect “there” color (i.e., it was not a neutral) for pale brunettes ever. My sister, who is hyper critical of my makeup asked what I was wearing because my makeup looked so good - it was just the lipstick.

Revlon Smoky Rose is great! I picked it up based on this thread and love it. I'm very pale, strawberry blonde. So many other lipsticks have been too pink or too purple.

I do like Clinique Black Honey nut it wears away so quickly.

I like the Covergirl Oh Sugar balms. Great dupes of the Fresh Sugar balms but much more affordable.

No, not glittery at all! It layers really nicely; just one coat is fairly sheer, but a few more can amp it up. I love the smell, too.

I looked at the Smoky Rose, and meh. I'm not a mauve lip person, though, I like a little more color on my lips. Fresh Sugar Plum was my absolute favorite until that went the way of the Dodo.

No, not glittery at all! It layers really nicely; just one coat is fairly sheer, but a few more can amp it up. I love the smell, too.

It’s not mauve on. It’s a marked change from tube color to lips; Ulta and some Walgreens have testers if you’re curious.

Good to know! Spice and Honey look worth a try. I don't like the warm colors as much. Still missing my Plum...
