When I wear lipstick it's Clinique All Heart lipstick in the summer and A Different Grape in the winter

If you like the lipstick formula you had, stock up - they’re introing a new formula. Some of the famed colors are coming back (I think both of yours are) but sometimes reformulations don’t work right for some.

I really like Bigelow's Rose Salve (or Smith's Rosebud Salve, whatever, they're essentially the same thing; don't get the rose-scented Vaseline in the tin because it smells kind of gross and the color's not as nice)

YMMV. Noticed the OP said she was fair--i am darker w yellow undertones, and can generally wear a brighter lip.

I agree that, when you find one you like, stock up, because they quit making Revlon “Rosewood” which I loved. It was often sold out, so I can’t be the only one — why these companies stop making popular products is a mystery to me.

I liked Rosewood too and use Black Honey. Thanks for the other recommendation!

If you want something a little more “pink,” I also like Revlon Colorstay in Womenswear (010).

I am very pale with black hair and always wear a red lip, think Snow White: currently in my purse are Kat V Dee’s Naha fur atoo - blood crimson and Jouer’s Cabernet.

Neutrals are not flattering on me and makes me look washed out/tired.

I am a very pale brunette and this lipstick, a yellow rose with a bit of amber, a bit of grey to ground it. It’s not too twee. It has just a dip of pearl so you aren’t frosty lipped but not dead lipped either. I can not recommend this color highly enough.

Fresh lip in color rose is it. Most everything else looks like lipstick. PS-Black honey makes your teeth look yellow.

I rotate between Clinique Black Honey (which does not make your teeth look yellow--what?); Fresh Sugar Rosé; and Laura Mercier Black Orchid.

May have to look into that Revlon Smoky Rose to add to my collection!
