$300 |
Pay a bit extra for the mosquito bites she got.

I would pay her 11 hours at her hourly rate. If you don't know, then $25 is a reasonable guess for a nanny is this area. She's your neighbor's domestic employee, not your neighbor. |
OP, small jobs are a huge inconvenience. You should look at it from her perspective. Anything less than $300 or maybe $25 CASH is a bit of an insult to an adult. |
Sorry I meant maybe $250 cash. |
I recommend being respectably generous rather than insultingly cheap! She came to water 11 times & if your dozen plants looked fine upon your return, then you should honor her job well done. That is someone you want to have come back again, next time. She'd've been there at least an hour; now, in 2025, the minimum is about $15/hr. $15 x 11 watering visits = $165 |
Actually, i agree with 7/19/24, above. Just, some of the earlier commenters were recommending paying their caring reliable dependable plant carer under a hundred dollars for 11 watering trips, which i thought was terrible. 7/19/2024 is respectably generous, which is best! ![]() |
I hope the OP paid by now since this was written in 2018! |
Meh, $100 and a case of quality beer or wine they like. |
You can easily put potted plants on automatic watering using WiFi timer and drip hoses. It’s affordable, easy and you can manually turn it on from anywhere. The batteries drain faster than with a Bluetooth. |
