I don't see why this is surprising.

While Obama was spending 6 cool trillions on who knows what, the opioid crises exploded, and he and his White House couldn't care less.

Just look at the statistics anyway you want, from use to overdoses. They are scary, and clearly skyrocket under Obama.

So, people and communities who have witnessed that, they chose to vote for change in 2016.

Why would you be surprised?

Btw, once thing that amazed me reading Hillary's What Happened is when she explained how she learned about the opiod crises during some campaign stop in 2016, when that's all that the local community I don't know where wanted to discuss.

Let that sink in for a minute or two.

Hillary, an Obama Cabinet Member and proud Policy Wonk, had no idea about the opioid crisis, the exploding death rates taking the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans, until she went on some campaign stop in 2016.

Which begs the obvious question, what were Obama and Hillary and that amazing White House "dream team" paying attention to?

Clearly not to American lives.

2. Some white folks are afraid they are becoming the minority

The thing to fear is that perhaps opioid addicts actually didn't vote last time around. Perhaps some have received treatment by now and will be functional to vote. The Trump voter numbers could increase. Do not assume they're dying out. Kids growing up in those communities willnot be woke millennials. They will vote like those communities. Trump will likely get re-elected unless more dems show up to vote next time. Likewise for midterms. The wave might not be blue.

I read that they have likely underestimated opioid deaths by 70k. That’s shocking!
