Summer Pickup Soccer

It was Stoddert, but we did not hang around for the older group. As the younger group was wrapping up I saw a few of the boys from the neighborhood and I know their ages. I did not see any girls, but I was not really paying attention to who was out for the older group. It is pickup and summer time, so these groups will change each week.

Different poster but it's very common in pick-up to have such age differences on the same teams. It's not supposed to be organized by age groups. It's supposed to be, you show up, you get added to what team has less numbers and you play. You JUST PLAY. Also not uncommon for kids to play against adults so don't be shocked when you see adults also playing.

Right, in pick up game, age doesn't matter.

The games are casual. You would not like it.

So you most likely will not get just girls playing. The best would be a mix of girls and boys. I understand if your dd does not want to be the only girl playing(and/or not know anyone). Maybe get a friend and try one out one close to your house.

The FPYC pickup sessions this summer have been great! Lots of kids (boys and girls) ranging from ages 6 up to 16... Close to 50-70 kids each time. These are the sessions held at Stafford Drive Park.

Not OP. I don't mind my DD playing with boys. In fact, we both prefer it. But playing with youngsters, not so much.

Will they still hold them in the rain? We plan to go today. Other Club’s pick ups we’ve been to still hold them as long as it’s not lightning.

Depends on lightning and how many kids show up.
