Totally agree.

Incidentally, I’m (finally) watching Mad Men right now and a whole inch of characters gush over Peggy’s appearance, calling her a beautiful girl etc. I find it bewildering, because Elisabeth Moss is another great-actress-but-very-plain-looks-wise for me.

Agree. I think Elizabeth Moss is another, very “normal” looking actress. I liked her in Mad Men because she wasn’t considered a dish, more Plain Jane, working girl.

Guy here - her looks are average and it's unlikely I'd give her a second glance if I passed her on the street. But, she is a very fine actress which is why she has had a very long career.

She's attractive in a "handsome woman" kind of way. Unusual. Nice body, pretty eyes, blonde. So yeah, in Ramblin Rose or Jurassic Park, I'd say she was attractive.

Not to me. Even looking at her younger pictures from Jurassic Park, she doesn't do it for me. I don't want to go into specifics because what I don't like may be the exact physical qualities someone reading this has, and I think there's enough shaming going on these days.

She is in her fifties and doesn't look plastic.
