Do you find Costco cheaper for groceries?

Costco was a great deal when we had six people in our household and we entertained a lot for business, but now that we are down to three in the house and work in a different field that doesn't require a lot of entertaining, no.

I have 3 adolescent boys. I do nearly 100% of my shopping at Costco. Has cut my bill by over $150/mo. I meticulously tract expenses. Plus we get higher quality for less. Off the bat what is cheaper...eggs, milk, bacon, greens, fruit, meat (when I cook burgers for the family I have to grill 9 patties), peanut butter, cereal, salmon, pork shoulder, hummus, cheese...

I will not bother when my boys are out of the house.

Cheese, jam, chips, protein bars, fruit (sometimes), hummus, the $5 rotisserie chicken, on sale Claritin, coffee, huge jug of vinegar, Better than Bouillon, nuts, organic sugar, cereal.

Every grocery store sells a $5 rotisserie chicken. Costco is not special there.

But they are old and dry and Costco’s are fresh out of the oven.

They're all the same. The stores all cook them daily, then they sit under the lights until the end of the day. At that point, whatever is left is tossed or turned into chicken salad for the next day's salad bar. Costco might sell them faster so they cycle more quickly, but that would be the only difference.

NO WAY. Costco's rotisserie chickens are 3x better than Giants and 10x better than Walmart's. They use better quality chickens.

Same, we are 2 pot a day coffee drinkers and the coffee is a huge draw for us

I do think part of it is turnover, especially on weekends. Their stuff just moves so quickly, particularly popular items.
