Vaping in class?

Juul was started by a Stanford kid. That’s part of its cool factor.

You’re joking right? The kids don’t know or care who started Juul, they just think it’s cool to do it which is frustrating the hell out of parents and schools.

There's a whole group doing it at my child's very expensive private school, in the MS. I've been talking to them about staying away from the kids involved with it. This is bigger than I realized. The head is aware as i spoke with them about it recently. I'm worried about high school being worse.

No I am not joking. Your kids also know that Juul uses a nicotine salt created by complexing nicotine and an acids so it is absorbed- tout suite - into the bloodstream. And your kids know that, too. Ask them about “salts” if they talk to you, which sounds like they don’t.

My kid doesn't "juul" so we are clueless here. He doesn't hang out with that crowd.

Is that some DC rich person/nerd turn on? Honestly, I can't imagine this being a factor for most kids in schools in the US. Many probably don't even know that Stanford is a prestigious university.

How do you pronounce juul? Jewel?

For folks who don't think kids are vaping in class at your school. You don't understand how vapes work.
The "smoke" is odorless. If a teacher turns to the blackboard, or looks down at a book or computer, - - even if there is just one kid in the room - kids will vape. Vaping in class has become a competition.

But if your kids are not vaping in class, they probably also are not texting in class either, so you have nothing to worry about.

Sorry your kid is in a school that has this problem. Kids don't vape at DS's high school. I posted earlier. It was a problem last year, but they REALLY cracked down and it isn't an issue on campus anymore. You will see them off campus doing it or in the parking lot, but not in the bathrooms or in class. And yes, my DS does text while in class.

My kids in private say that it mainly happens in the bathrooms. Some kids do it in class as a challenge of sorts to see how much they can do it without getting caught.

I guess, from what my kids were explaining, the Juul doesn't emit as much smoke or smell as other types of e-cigs/vape devices.

You lose all credibility when you claim to know things that you can’t know.

I know because my son told me. Why would he make that up?

Do we really need to answer that for you? Do you also need help walking while chewing gum?
