I saw both of these episodes and you are so right about both! I must say that tacky NJ bride was HORRIFIC - I truly wondered who would find her attractive enough to actually marry? So mean of me I know! And her teeth!! |
+1 She was awful. And yes, I'm judging her both her personality and her looks. I also wondered who on earth would marry her - until they showed the pictures of her fiancé. Then it all made sense. He's just as bad. Total New Jersey shore couple. Honestly, it seems like the show is scraping the bottom of the barrel with these brides. They used to have such great episodes. |

The offending gown:

I prefer the episodes that are filmed in Atlanta, not quite as outrageous. |
Awful |
Well, I'm going to risk ridicule and say something positive about this dress. From the waist down, I think it's really pretty, like an ethereal garden. And I love the blue as a fresh change from traditional white. If the beading and tulle flowers or whatever comprises the pasties actually covered the entire top, it would be a lovely dress. |
Agreed. The color reminds me of the "white" LED Christmas lights. |
| Who saw the last episode. The bride, who I thought had a killer body, kept going on about how she waited 14 years for her fiance to propose. |
yeah the problem is that it doesn't actually cover the entire top. I can't imagine what Randy was thinking. |
+1 The pasties and completely sheer bodice are just mind boggling. If the entire bodice was covered and the color was white, ivory, or blush, it would be a beautiful gown. Randy: FAIL. |
She did look great! And she had incredible taste in dresses. Her taste in fiancés, not so much. I really wanted to talk some sense into her for waiting around for some guy who knocked her up and then waited that long to marry her and the toddler because "he wasn't ready". But if she's happy, I'm happy for her. And she will look fabulous on her wedding day. |

Ok, did anyone watch the most recent episode with Randy's runway show? I have to say, maybe I judged him too harshly based on the blue monstrosity (OP here). With the exception of that one and maybe one or two others, his entire collection is truly beautiful. I was cringing, wondering what the other gowns would look like, but I couldn't believe how exquisite they were. And the models were gorgeous too. So, yay Randy!
After that episode was Say Yes to the Prom Dress, which was pretty good. Monte is so annoying, unfortunately. Very much into the drama. But the kids from that school seemed great and I'm glad they got to have their prom. Most of the dresses were pretty. |
I love Monte, especially when he put Betsey Johnson (who's seriously ridiculous and clueless) in her place about how little the kids on the show have. |
I don't remember that part - was it in the episode I mentioned or did I miss something? |
I must have been watching last year's episode: https://www.tlc.com/tv-shows/say-yes-to-the-prom/videos/go-inside-say-yes-to-the-prom-2017 |
