Baby name Juliette (/Juliet): honest opinions please?

There’s nothing white trashy about Juliette! It isn’t as though the poster asked about Aria, Crystal, Kandy, McKenna, Kenzley, etc. White trash names usually, though not always, involve a Kre8tive spelling these days or rose to popularity for the first time on the heels of a television character. Bonus points if the character was a reality tv star.

I thought this was very funny but my DH's best friend's DD is named Juliette. She and my daughter see each other all the time but recently I said we were going to have dinner with Juliette and (her brother) and my 8yo DD stopped me and said "Mom - call her Julie! She will be so embarrassed if you call her Juliette - because you know all the mushy love stuff!"

So you're ok with the concept of "white trash", you just don't think that Juliette is a name that belongs to that concept?
