Do you personally know anyone around DC who drives a Cadillac Escalade?

Husband's parents live full time in the Hamptons.

Actual rich people love Mercedes, people who are rich but still are smart with their money drive Lexuses and either buy a new one each year or drive one for 12 years before they’re forced to get rid of it.

I’ve never seen more Benz s550’s, gls550's, g63’s, and Land Cruisers and Ranger Rovers in my entire life. You wanna know what I don't see? Escalades. They’re too gaudy and they do not fit in. A big stupid Cadillac truck is too loud and obnoxious for actually wealthy areas. The term “stealth wealth” is real.

Hispanic and black folks love the Escalade. Know a few of them personally.

You are racist, OP

Yeah - S550 - a real stealth machine.

+100

I don't care if it's judgemental. People judge others about everything all the time. I'm sure the Escalade drivers are judging my car.

But, they're gross and ridiculous. Particularly when driven by people who can't park them.

I can’t believe people drive Mercedes. The car driven by German Nazis...so gross. I would never drive an Escalade but anyone who thinks a Mercedes is “better” is clearly an idiot. Money does not make a person a good human being.

what would be considered then a "good" large SUV to have (if you have a large family)?

I wouldn’t drive a Ford either

The only person I know with one definitely suffers from short man syndrome. He's extremely arrogant and condescending. He boasts about his career triumphs and overstates his influence. A quick perusing of his LinkedIn profile shows that he's had six jobs in as many years with six months being the average length of time at each.

If you buy an Escalade (i.e., a pimped-out Suburban), I assume you're dim-witted.?

I know several moms in McLean that drive them.
