No you idiot. Black and Hispanic folks stopped buying Escalades in the mid-2000s. It's pretty much a white upper middle class vehicle now. Get with the times. |
| I love them. I want one. |
| Yes. I know several people. |
People who take a MASSIVE depreciation hit on an expensive car by trading it in every year, year after year, are NOT smart. They are in fact complete dumbasses. They are likely losing $10k-$13k every time. Every time. That's not smart. That's stupid as hell. |
| My friend has a new one, fully loaded. Cost about $100k. It's a great cruiser inside, at least from a passenger perspective. They have a big family so needed comfortable seating for 6. |
Usually writing it off taxes or corporate car stipend and/or eff you rich and just love a new car. Who doesn’t LOVE a new car?? |
They're not using their own hard earned money. It's often a lease or corporate expense that can be written off. You need to learn something about rich people and how they stay rich while having new luxury cars each year. |
That doesn't make it not-stupid. I don't leave anything on the table when it comes to running my business, and I try to instill those values in my managers and our staff. If I had an employee who was buying/trading a new car every year, I'd probably find a way to part company with them. It's a stupid financial decision, and reflects poor judgement overall. Used cars, yes, change them as often as you want. Someone else already suffered the depreciation on them. But trading a new car after a year shows someone doesn't know the first thing about money. Either making it, or keeping it. I don't want them working for me. |
SiL has one. She has artificial breasts, tummuy tuck, and And fake teeth . She has never been on her own. Gone from Psrents house to husbands house. Never worked at a real job. And drives escalade as a status synbol. And she is also a blonde from great falls |
| The bike's a nice touch. |
German Nazis also drove many other cars. Mercedes are manufactured in the USA. Do you want list of everything else you have to get rid of if the Nazi's used it? Try anything in your kitchen with the name Krupps on it. |
And why should we care what people in the Hamptons think? |
| The fact that the DCUM crowd hates this vehicle so much makes me want one that much more. |
| DH had one...company car. Had to buy american make, and was given an allowance up to $100k, so this was it. Beautiful car, ran smooth, comfortable for long trips. With kids older he traded it in for a sport sedan thing, which he absolutely loves. But I enjoyed driving the Escalade every now and then. |
I don't buy Krupps either. See how easy that is. |
