The only explanation for the hate directed at two women who have never harmed anyone is sheer jealousy. Both of these women seem like people I'd want to be friends with, and that has nothing to do with any "royal" status. They just seem nice. Some people clearly don't understand what nice means.

Agreed. I also think there's a lot of underlying racism in the vitriol directed at Meghan. Because of her skin color and ethnic background, she will never be "good enough" for Harry. Jealous upper middle class white women don't like to be bested and out-manuevered by a WOC.

Maybe, but it doesn't really matter. Haters can say it's because she's biracial, divorced, an actress, left handed (made that last one up), etc. It will always be something with bitter, unhappy people.
What matters is that both Meghan and Harry know that she more than measures up. That's why he met her and put a ring on it in less than a year and half.
