That’s adorable. My 3 yo refers to the metal variety of things (eg, spoons, forks, toy trains) as “cold” and the plastic or wooden ones as “warm.” As in, “no, I want a warm spoon” or “I have a cold Thomas and Percy.”

I told my 2 year old it was time to take a bath. His response: "that doesn't really matter to me personally."

We taught my 1 year old baby sign language, and the sign for "thank you" is like blowing a kiss from your chin. When he hears us saying "thank you," he tries to copy it using the sign, but it just looks like he's repeatedly smacking himself in the face because his aim isn't very exact!

"Nanny doesn't care for this book".

Apparently, the nanny did tell 22 month old DD that she didn't care for a particular book and DD remembered her exact words.

DH asked 2 year Old if he wanted milk or water with dinner. His answer? “Beer!”

My MIL constantly exclaims “Shame!” about any unpleasant fact or event ranging from cloudy weather to a broken leg. She put 2yo DS to bed last night so that I could go with DH to urgent care for pneumonia. The very first thing DS said when I came to get him from his crib this morning was “Shame, Shame, Shame! Dada really really sick!”
