What's with yuppies always saying "right" after every sentence?

It’s because millennials are in need of constant affirmation of their feelings. After all, one of the hallmarks of their generation is group think, right?

That’s your feelings speaking.
But what’s a pdf? Is that some sort of app? I’ll have to ask my grandson.

It seems like Zoomer men don't do that high voice uptalk that almost all millennial guys do, so there is hope for the future generation.

I have a young millennial (I’m gen x) who responds to my statements with
“Correct, …”
Yah baby dipwad. I know I’m correct. Don’t need your validation.

Yuppies? Are you living in the 90s? Rip van winkle effect? Did some hit you on the head 20 years ago and you're just coming out of your coma?

Seriously. I'm a millennial and my parents considered themselves yuppies.

This Xer has questions about this too.

I think I know what you're talking about, and it's really annoying. But it's more how they say it. I have a friend who is very unpretentious who says "right" after every sentence (as in "So I'm going to the store, right?") and it's charming and cute.

Anyone talking in NPR speak seems to affect a tone of voice that is distinctly condescending, as if they're lecturing a small child. It's not just the words, it's the tone.

Agree completely. The tone is especially prevalent in corporate America.

Or, in emails, adding "Go!" at the end of a sentence. "Let's make a list of verbal tics! Go!" GTFO

what about the "perfect" from service people.
