Do men love harder than women in a relationship?

Anonymous
For me (woman), I find that my boyfriends broke my heart a few times during the protracted breakup, but when I decided it was well and truly over, they took it VERY hard. Like, bro, maybe you should've realized this shit when you wanted a break or didn't want to commit or refused to grow up before.

Yes, but I don't think men love as deeply as women, and it is easier for a man to move on to a new love (hence the reason widowers remarry much sooner than widows).

Men have been observed to say "I love you" much earlier in a relationship than women. Men will go to work and toil away to have a wife who stays home- you'd be hard pressed to find a woman who would do the reverse.

Women do not have "comparatively greater options" -- at least, not once you're in your 30s. A lot of women never remarry partly because as you get older, men become increasingly scarce due to the gender gap in longevity. This doesn't just affect elderly. Women begin to be outnumbered men by around 30.

Wishful thinking.

Really interesting! My experience with my DH matches up. He's definitly crazy in love with me. Its been 18 years and id say he's much more passionate about me than I for him. If i left him, he undoubtedly would be crushed if we are even in an arguement is eats him to death.

Why did you marry him and why do you remain married to him?

If you're a woman over 32 in America you're considered to be an old hag. The best men like their women to be in their twenties and no older than 32. That's just the way it is.

Lol. Turds like you hope that if you keep saying it, it must be true.

"The best men" are old and wealthy. Are you qualified to discuss their preferences?

Maybe if you say it enough times women will be convinced not to believe our own experiences and those of everyone we know. Yes, that will definitely work. Excellent plan

Plan: say it enough times, women will start feeling desperate, and eventually he can corner a woman into a relationship. Lowered standards is the goal

Can't imagine a woman doing this

And yet it's not all that uncommon for men to do something like this.

Men are also stupider, but... they do seem more prone to dramatic acts of "love", that's for sure...

^I feel bad for him and don't mean to be callous in my last statement.

I truly doubt that. The fact is women are always going to have more dating options. If your ex wife wanted to date 23 year olds, she would have no issue with it. It wouldn't even really feel like an accomplishment, as it does for you.

The Census Bureau measures marriage and divorce rates and publishes the data every year. For every man who gets divorced and never remarries there are two woman who get divorced and never remarry.

Exactly. Men want marriage more than women. Isn't that OP's point?

Most of the married on here and that I know in real life say they don't have any desire to remarry if their marriages don't work out. Women usually just want to be left alone.
