By the way Rohingyas will so be able to obtain Pakistani citizenship if they are born in the country. |
YOu can not adopt refugee children. This goes against Hague protocols. It is not ethical to do so--ther is a chance that they have biological relatives/family reunification |
Hi! I adopted a child from Bangladesh thru Hope adoption agency. The agency is in Texas based however, I live in PA. They found me an agency that does all the paperwork and Hope did the rest with Bangladesh.
It is true one parents have to be Bangladeshi to adopt from Bangladesh and same religion as the child you are adopting. It takes time to adopt. We were lucky and did it under one year however, I am also very familiar with both country and I have lot of connections in Bangladesh. You can still do it without the connections and Hope will do the work but be patient and it will be few years. Good luck to anyone who would like to do it. If you want more information, you can email me at dorinkf@yahoo.com. But I think Hope is your best bet as they are the only one work in Bangladesh. Here are there contact information: dford@hopeadoption.org |
NP. How about there are thousands of children in this country that need a home and loving parents. If you truly want a child then look in your own back yard. No child should be adopted from one country and then brought to a foreign country. It is cruel to deprive them of their culture. |
The emails are very similar. Do you work for HOPE? If so, you should disclose it. |
I asked my 3 adopted children (19,16, 15) if they are “collectibles” and they told me no. You have no idea how much sh!t my children have had to hear during their short lives. I gave them permission early on to respond however they wish. |
Well, aren't you just too wonderful for words! |
Does the US have a treaty with them?
If so, your next step is to identify a US adoption agency that works with a particular country. They will guide you on the rules/processes/timeline, etc |
I know plenty of people who treat their biological children like collectibles. |
Adoption is certainly better than the alternative for most kids who would otherwise grow up in orphanages, even if they do lose their culture. |
The amount of racists in this thread cheering starving orphans is too damn high. |
Some of them are on Instagram |
OP sounds totally fine. There are a lot of weirdly aggressive responses on this thread. |
I'm most positive that children are for sale, yes. But you have to decide if you are OK woth the idea that you are not saving a child, you are purchasing a child. |
That's the home country's prerogative. They'd rather have kids in group homes than out of the country. |
