He'll be 78 in 2025. Be real. If he somehow turns it around and has 95% approval ratings from Rs, Ds, and Is, he won't be re-elected in 2021.

Hmm! Reagan was almost 78 when he left office in early 1989.

Unless the Democrats get their act together, Trump will be reelected in 2020. Given a choice between a Republican and a Democrat conservatives and most Republicans will unhesitatingly vote for the Republican even if it is Trump - just like they did in 2016.

Exactly. Dems are so obsessed with Trump, they don't even have a viable candidate. Heck, Hillary can come to their rescue!

They have Maxine Waters who is viewed as an intellectual giant by some Democrats!

Good thing Trump has REALLY lower the bar for intelligence.

Especially by Maxine Waters.

I'd like to imagine she's a decent person off camera, but she should have joined The Golden Girls a few decades ago. She behaves like an endless comedy show on camera. Someone should have the guts to tell her. Let her go with some dignity.

I agree that Trump is going to resign. Being president is clearly not what he had in mind.

He really has no choice. Democrats will impeach him if they win in the midterms. Mueller is building the mother of all cases against him. The GOP is tired of running interference for him. Even his own staff doesn't like him.

I think they are going to negotiate a way for him to resign and then having someone at the White House fire Mueller and ending the investigation as an incentive. As foolish as he is, he has to realize by now Mueller is going to destroy his entire family by getting everyone to snitch on each other. Pretty much the one thing Trump seems to care about, other than himself, are his kids (some of them). I think he will resign to protect them from Mueller.

I agree with PPs -- he will resign if Mueller's investigation threatens his kids.

But my money is on him resigning rather than produce his financials in response to a subpoena from Mueller or Congress. He'll claim it's government overreach and a gross invasion of his privacy and his idiot supporters will agree and cheer as he walks out of the White House.

I actually don't want it to happen anytime soon, because Pence is terrifying.

He must be planning trumps overthrow there. Shh! You're an idiot.

What exactly about that statement makes me an "idiot?" Do tell.

You're an idiot because you clearly don't slobber at the altar of Trumpus Maximus.

He will probably have a stroke before that.

Or some hateful person will try to take him down.

Like Melania?

He'll fake his own death within a month

So my question is this: How much longer will it take Mueller to bring forth charges against Trump? Could it take up to another year? Whenever it's clear to Trump that they have the goods on him, then he will resign. But I sure hope it doesn't take another year to make this happen!

Yeah. The one nice thing about Trump is that he is so ineffective, as a leader, that it limits the damage he can really do (aside from starting a war). Pence would be like a third Bush Administration.

No. Just no.

Have fun Democrats trying to vote after you failed to answer your verification letter and you got purged from the voting rolls.

Plus, Americans with guns and money are far more equal than everyone else. The Democrat Party falls short on both counts.

And this, my friends, is why Trump will not resign or be impeached, no matter what Mueller finds. His supporters are not reasonable people. They will support him no matter what he does or has done. There is nothing that could come out about Trump that will spur Republicans to action.

But old, white men dottering around the Capitol and the WH, no problem with their dignity.

No. Pence is unpopular and lacks the connections and resources the Bushes had, and people are so much more attentive these days.

I wouldn't be surprised if he drops dead suddenly. Brain aneurysm or stroke will be the given answer.

It will all happen very quickly.

I'm as level headed and intelligent as people come and don't go for conspiracy theories but there's a niggling thought in the back of my mind that the powers that be, both Democrats and Republicans, will quietly collude and decide he's a danger to the country and justify it on grounds that he's suffering from early onset of dementia and decide the best solution is to have a sudden natural death and make it happen.
