Believe it or not, but there are many DC residents who are against the ban on gun ownership. We didn't move here. We were born in the city hospitals and taken home at birth to our DC residences. |
|
You don't count.
Real residents are the ones who moved here two years ago from Chicago, California, Boston, London or someplace else. You didn't pay above market for your middle of the row in Logan. You don't matter. |
Meh, I've never lived in a war zone. What's it like? |
CORRECTAMUNDO. However, I am a fan of mandatory background checks. |
You already have concealed carry, it's just done illegally. I take it you've never walked down H street past 9pm. |
You are still clueless. And NE isn't necessarily the hood. Who the hell do you think is going to defend you if you aren't armed? You going to call 911? |
I find the 1st Anendment right to free speech outdated and dangerous. |
One might take a state's rights position on gun control, except if he lives in DC. DC is not a state. DC laws are federal laws. If the second amendment binds any jurisdiction at all, it must bind DC. By the way, the amendment is very clear that the people have the right both to keep (own) and to bear (carry) arms. Since Heller, the country has been put on notice that the second amendment cannot be ignored. Open or concealed carry will available throughout the country soon. If you don't like it, PP, move to Europe. If you want to stay in the US, then start advocating for the repeal of the second amendment, but please stop electing officials to the DC city council who wantonly attack the rights protected by the Bill of Rights. |
They also want speech they don't like banned, too. Just like guns. |
I said I lived in NE, I never said it was the 'hood did I? Let me worry about how I will defend myself. I don't need you to worry about me. Worry about yourself. |
Please stop electing officials who attack your rights? Your rights are not absolute. Just like you vote for who you want, we can vote for who we want. |
Except people like you won't let people worry about the way they choose to defend themselves. But you already knew that |
You keep saying "rights are not absolute". Do you think bans (which are absolutely absolute) are ok? If so, why? |
| Well? |
Good one. My gun zone is amazing. So amazing that every developer wants to be in the city. |
