Middle name for Annika?

Annika is a beautiful name! Since your last name is three syllables, I prefer a shorter middle name, but a longer one could work as well. I like Rose or Rosemary if you want something longer. I also like Noelle, Claire, Elise, Julia, Jane, Camille, Lucille, and Margaret.

Annika Rose - pretty but too much a filler?
Annika Noelle - maybe
Annika Delphine/Justine/Josephine - spouse vetoed

Love Annika Noelle! But I may be biased since that is my daughter's middle name.

What? Like Anna Nicole? Usually I'm in the "do whatever you want with the middle name" camp, but Anna Nicole Smith is NOT a reference I'd want associated with my new baby.

You have lots of one syllable suggestions, so what about a four syllable, since you don't mind longer.

Annika Elizabeth
Annika Caroline
Annika Juliet
Annika Persephone (since you like Delphine)

I agree - definitely avoid Annika Nicole. I like Elizabeth or Caroline, if you want something longer.

-1. Mae sounds to me like a filler name. Would you use it as a first name? That's my litmus test.

But you aren't using it as a first name, that's the point.

It's just my preference to give a strong middle that can hold its own. We used a middle for our DD that I would have been happy to give as her first name.

Op- Love how this flows! I'm not sold on Elise but do think it goes nicely.

Annika Noelle and Annika Caroline are the two top contenders right now. But we are still open if anyone has other thoughts! I get why some favor the short middle but I just keep feeling like they are filler and that I prefer a longer one so long as it flows.

How about Annika Maren?

Annika Christine
Annika Louise
Annika Michelle
Annika Renee
Annika Susanne

All are beautiful. I personally love Annika Kristine (K spelling to keep with the Nordic name).

I like Noelle for a winter baby, but wouldn't choose it personally for a fall/spring/summer baby. Maybe that's just me.

Both are lovely, but my vote's for Annika Caroline!

Thank you, I was wondering about that too! Late fall baby...

I had also considered Annika Skye (liked the repeating "K") but the Star Wars reference mentioned above gave me pause...not that I would ever think of it but apparently it jumps out to those who follow Star Wars stuff.
