Grace or Rose.

-1. Mae sounds to me like a filler name. Would you use it as a first name? That's my litmus test.

What? Like Anna Nicole? Usually I'm in the "do whatever you want with the middle name" camp, but Anna Nicole Smith is NOT a reference I'd want associated with my new baby.

You have lots of one syllable suggestions, so what about a four syllable, since you don't mind longer.

Annika Elizabeth
Annika Caroline
Annika Juliet
Annika Persephone (since you like Delphine)

But you aren't using it as a first name, that's the point.

Thanks for the longer suggestions! Right up my alley (in fact, we can't use a couple of them due to other family member names).

PP here - oooh, positive feedback, I'll look for more!

If you like longer, look for 3 or 4 syllables that don't end in -a. I think the -ka ending is too strong for another -a ending. But if you find an -a ending you love, then why not? I love Delphine, and also love Olympia, Sabine, Simone, and Octavia, though those don't fit the criteria I'd look for. What about Sidonie, Jacqueline, Catherine, Eleanor, Evelyn, Natalie, or Genevieve?

Not PP - but LOL, that was funny.

Annakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader later on. You can google who Darth Vader is.

Not even joking, but our good family friends named their son Lucas Sky and their daughter Mara Skye because their last name is Walker.

I really hope the kids like Star Wars. I know a kid named McCoy because his dad loves Star Trek and the son hates Star Trek.

Another vote for Rose.
